Now when testing with terminals on PC's I keep receiving gibberish on one end (while the UART message about the IP change does appear normally when starting up the board). I do this in the same way for the second board.

I also connect ground from cable to the board. Tx of usb-to-ttl on rx of explorer16 (on connecter J9) and rx of usb-to-ttl on tx of explorer16 (also connecter J9). I have a usb to ttl cable (TTL-232R-3V3 from ftdi) on one explorer16, and a usb to ttl cable (FT232RL from ftdi) on the other side. I have not changed anything in the uart2tcp bridge example, except for the baudrate which is now 9600. Now I want to connect devices to the board who communicate at TTL level. I can send data with both PC's and the data will arrive at the other PC.

I now have PC - COM-port on explorer 16 - cross cable - COM-port on second explorer 16 - PC If not, it start listening to the given port (sorry I changed something on that line to acomodate my needings) If we haven't got a valid socket it keeps trying opening a connection to the remote server.

MySocket = TCPOpen(0, TCP_OPEN_SERVER,, TCP_PURPOSE_UART_2_TCP_BRIDGE) MySocket = TCPOpen((DWORD)USE_REMOTE_TCP_SERVER, TCP_OPEN_ROM_HOST, UART2TCPBRIDGE_PORT, TCP_PURPOSE_UART_2_TCP_BRIDGE) Connect a socket to the remote TCP server In this case, WE are doing the connection to the other board at the TCP port specified (I haven't tested it, so can say nothing about it). In this case, anybody can connect to us to the port specified and will connect to the UART at the configured speed.Ĭlient - Insert the appropiate address (of the server)
